Hello My Readers & Movie WatchersSo, what are you reading today? This book Yellow Wife by Sadeqa Johnson surprised the heck out of me. From the cover I thought it was about a woman living on a plantation in slavery time. Which it was but there was more to the story then meets the eye. It was about a Pheby Brown a bi-racial women who grew up in slavery times but led a privileged life. Because her father was white, and he was in love with her mother his slave. The things that she had to go through the promises that were made and broken. The struggles and manipulations she had to endure was crazy.
But she was a smart woman and used what she had to get what she needed. This is one book that you cannot judge by its cover like I did because you would be wrong. It's a great story that will keep you reading all night long. 8 of 10 in good reads department for me.
Happy Reading
