                                     Hello, My Book Readers and Movie Watchers 

Happy March! So, what are you reading? I wanted to ask you something, do you still read urban Fiction books or dark romance books? The reason I ask you this is one of my Facebook groups, the question was what books you don't read, and the top books that were mentioned were urban fiction and dark romance books. I was surprised at that because I thought that these two topics were still popular with readers. I guess I was wrong. One reader in my Facebook group said that this book romanticizes being a stalked, victimized, and abused. Allowing the dominant male in these kinds of books to take full advantage of females. Which a lot of the readers didn't like.  This was an interesting point of view on what people are not reading and why. What do you think? For me personally, I still like a good urban fiction, especially if the story is good. I like drama, what can I say? Something for a good dark romance book, but that's just me.

Happy belated Valentine's Day. Hope you had a good one. Today's book review is on the book Too Late by Colleen Hoover. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of her stories; they're just too sappy and... Well, anyway, I did read this one, and she does have a good book, Verity, which was decent. Anyway, here are my thoughts on her book Too Late if you have read this bok what did you think about it?

The stories are about love, betrayal, jealousy, and yes, some violence. All the good drama stuff we look for in our books. Here's my review of these stories.

Not Has Good

                                       Hello, My Book Readers and Movie Watchers

Happy Feb 1st! So what are you reading this month? I found this gem in a thrift store. I never knew Teri Woods had written this book; it's the last in the True to the Game series. Which was a very good Series.  The book is called True to the Game III: Quadir. It's about the relationship between a woman named Gina and a midlevel drug dealer named Quadir. This sis there ending. You have to really read True to the Game to understand their relationship from the beginning. But in this book, True to the Game III, Quadir.  Gina thinks that Q is dead because she sees him die and goes to his funeral. She's upset because they were engaged to be married.  After Gina finds a lot of money that Q left in the apartment they share. Things get crazy because everybody wants the money.  After a year of morning, Gina gets involved with a guy she thought loved her, but she ends up being used by him. Then he gets killed, and his brother, who's crazy, is after Gina. All this crazy stuff started happening to Gina and her family because every suspect that she has or knows where Q's money is. Then come to find out that.... Well, it's a lot of twists and turns to the story,  but there is a happy ending to it. I will say the story was not as good as the first set of stories. I read about Q and Gina. Basically, the book is the ending to their crazy romance, and the things both Q and Gina had to go through to be together. 

The story was ok, the characters were good, but the plot wasn't that good.  For me, anyway.  It was a bit disappointing to me. Be warned, there are some brutal parts in this story. That even made me say d**n.  If you need to know the basics of the story about Q and Gina, you can see the movie True To The Game On Tubi-Tv. After reading the book many years ago and remembering the story, I wasn't impressed by the way they did the movie. To me, it was just O.K.

Just to Silly for Me

                                   Hello, all my book Readers and Movie Watchers.

Happy 2026. What are you reading this winter? It's cold out, and you need to be reading something. Well, I read the Mini Shopaholic By Sophie Kinsella. I used to love reading her Shopaholic books. They were fun reads at first. So, when I found this one, I said yes, I'll read it. Since I haven't read her books in years.. I started reading the book, and the Main female character in the book was s a shopaholic, a bad one.  Her husband and two-year-old daughter live with her parents temporarily. Her daughter is a terror. Which she can't control, they just let her do what she wants. Then buys her things to make her shut up.   The story was just too silly for my taste now.  At times, I felt like slapping the main female character because of the stupid things she was doing and getting away with. Her husband, family, and friends all seem to allow it. She reminds me of  A I Love Lucy type of character who means well but always does silly things and gets in trouble for it. Nobody in the book seems to want to put their foot down with her, not even her husband.  They just let the main female charterer do what she wants, and when it all falls apart, they are there to pick up the pieces.   I think the female character in the book is Rebecca.  Anyway, I was almost done with the book until I put it down; I couldn't take the silliness anymore.

                                  Hello, My Book Lovers and Movie Watchers 

Happy 2026! This year's all about the books for me. I want to review good books that not only have interesting stories but are enjoyable reads too. That's one of my book goals for 2026. To make it fun for both of us when it comes to reading books and watching good movies. I just found out The House Maid by Fredia McFadden is now a movie. It came out on  Dec 19th. I can't wait to see it and review it for you. I love McFadden's books
