Reviewing Good Books & Sometimes Movies
2022 will be the year of the new books that I will be reviewing for you. I can't wait to talk to you about some great books and movies that I have seen and read my podcast A Hills Book club https://anchor.fm/ahill3 and right here on my blog
But for now, have a great New Year and read something good for me.
Have you ever had to many books to read? Well, this happens to me quite often. I borrow books from the library, and I cannot read them all. This one Yellow Wife By Sadeqa Johnson is the one that was recommend by my facebook group. But I had to return it because I have two others before I get to this one. You know the library only gives you 3 weeks to read and return. If you have read this book, how was it? Is it worth me requesting again at a later time to read?

Another great Movie to watch Gone in 60 Seconds with Nicholas Cage. I happen to like him. If your a Fast and Furious movie lover like me. This is just like that. I was watching this movie Finders Fee with James Earl Jones. James Earl Jones was really good in this movie. It's about a young guy struggling with doing the right thing. But there is a twist to the story. It was a good movie but the ending had me saying What the heck?? Free on Tubitv and good movie.

I was looking forward to reading The Wrong Husband 1 & 2 by B.M. Harding. But I did not get a chance because other books that I ordered came in and they took first place. Happy Sunday today I will be reviewing Loving Donovan By Bernice l McFadden. The same author that wrote Sugar . Which was another good story. In Loving Donovan I can not even touch the surface of what goes on in this book. So much stuff and drama and sadness. It's a good read.
Also the Movie The Last Seduction On Tubitv. It was a good movie. Join me and I will tell you about it.

I have to tell you about a good movie I watched yesterday called Sister My Sister. It's about two sisters who lived in a convent while growing up. And it did damage to the older sister. The older sister becomes a maid to a wealthy women and her daughter. This wealthy women is a hot mess. The sister talks the women she works for to hire her sister and they both became maids in this women's house. this story takes place in the 30's and it's a hot mess. But I must warn you that there are some same sex relation in it. But it's done very tastefully. Overall this was a good movie on Tubitv. Good story.

I am sad and can't wait. The reason that I am sad is because I had to give back the book Everybody Lies by B.M. Harding. I have to many other books ahead of this one and I will not make the deadline to read it before I have to return it. Maybe next time. If you have read this book how was it?
I can not wait until this movie Respect about Aretha Franklin comes on Tubitv. Sorry I don't go to the movies anymore. Long story. The trailers for this movies looks good. If you have already seen it. Tell me your thought on it. I would love to hear about the book or the movie from you family. Can I say one thing I love the movie cover Jennifer Hudson looks almost like Aretha.

I am sorry to say that I had to return The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher this book before I could even read it. It came recommended in my Facebook club. I had so many other books that I wanted to read before this one I had to return it. You know the library only gives you so much time to read anything. So if you have read this book was it worth reading? Let me know your thoughts on this book. Good, Bad or just ok.

Watched this movie last night The Last Seduction pretty good. It's about a women who steals drug money from her husband and heads to Chicago. But she ends up in Buffalo New York. Where she meets a guy who is stuck on simple. She uses him for her plan to get her husband. It was the same story that's always been told but this one was pretty good. Free on Tubitv

Did I show you these movies FreeLancers & Con Man. I watched both on Tubitv. They were pretty good. I review movies sometimes as well as book. But getting back to the movies. Freelancers had Robert Deniro , 50 cents, Forrest Whitaker this was good.. It's about 3 best friends who become cops and the shady stuff they get into. It's kind of slow at first and 50 cents you can not hear because he mumbles. But over all good movie suspenseful. Forest Whitakers plays a really good crazy cop.
Con Man has James Cann ( I love Him) Ving Rhames ( him to I love) Old looking Mark Hamill ( star Wars) This was about a kid growing up to want more. He cons his way of of everything. even people's money and it all started when he was 16. Smart kid. The story is about how a 16 year old kid fooled a lot of people and got them to do his bidding for him. He got older and greedier a classic Ponzi Scheme.

I came across these a a yard sale a couple of days ago. And they brought back some memories. I use to read these when I was growing up. Ok the story was basic boy meets girls and then dumps her for another girl. But at the time they were good reading. You could not tell me back in the day this was the thing to read like the Right-On magazines and Teen Beat Magazines of out youth. If I see one again I might just pick one of these up to read 7 review just for the heck of it. So what are you reading today?

I renewed this book from the library and it was still talking me to long to finish. I have 6 other book to read and review for you. So I had to return it. Just wanted to share with you two good series to watch & read the first Devious Maids. It's almost like a desperate housewives. When you watch it you will see. Some say it's a Mexican soap opera that was converted into English. Whatever it is. It's funny and will keep you interested and most important laughing. I watch it on Tubi it's free
For the book Grand Opening By Carl Weber is part of the Family Business Series. Which once you start you will be hooked. It's Grand Opening is about the Duncan brothers and how they started their car business Duncan Motors in a small southern town. It's not just about their business it's the changes in the Duncan brothers face living in that town. This book is worth reading. Read Family Business by Carl Weber first. Then read this one and the 5 others after it. This is not your average urban fiction book it's more then that.
