Happy Sunday. Today's Sunday review is on Butterfly Bit*ch by Wahida Clark & Micheal Robinson. It's a story about a tranny named Butterfly and the rejections she receives from her parents and other people. So much so that she is forced to leave home at an early age and ends of hustling to make ends meet. Which land her in a male jail and she looks like Rhianna. Which leads to more trouble. Here's my review on this crazy but good story

So Much Preaching

                                        Hello, my Readers and Movie Watchers.

So much preaching in this book All Boys Aren't Blue by George Johnson. I got the book thinking that the author was going to tell me a story about a boy who was a transgender. ( he wanted to be a girl) The book started off preaching about the statistics of the LGBT community and it went on from there. The author never really told his true story you got bit and pieces of it in-between the stats on being a  transgender.  I wanted to read a simple story of this man's life but that wasn't the case. I could only got through two chapters before I put it down. I love the cover the book not so much. If you have read it what are your thoughts love to hear them.

Disappointed

                                          Hello, My Readers and Movie Watchers

First, I have to say I love my Kwan books, His stories and characters are believable. I have been a Kwan fan for a long time. But this book Passion for the Heist was not a good one for me. Here's why the story is about a guy name Pain fresh out of prison. Who in his former life was a killer and he pulled heists. When he comes out of prison, he's trying to stay on the straight and narrow but because of his situation he can't. So, he goes back to his old life. But in-between all of this he meets a women name Passion and she's having her own problems. There is a lot of backstabbing, sex and betrayal & killing in the book it's not overboard. Pain & Passion connect in a strange kind of way and then crazy comes into the door with Passion.  This story which is part 1 is a crazy ride for Passion and Pain that's just getting started. I guess book 2 goes into the full crazy stuff with the two of them. The reason I wasn't feeling this book like the others. It's too much back story on everybody in the book. The story I couldn't really get into. I found myself putting the book down to do other things and that's not like me when I read a Kwan book. But if you have read this book, tell me about your thoughts on it would love to hear them.

I get emotional when I talk about this simple but tragic love story set in the heart of urban madness. The  movie for today is based on a true story It's Gone Mom. So Lost

I am so confused when it comes to  The God Series   with T. Styles. Now I have read the  War series she wrote. That was good but The god series with the kids of War was just too much. First the story stared going off on the deep end it didn't make sense. Like the author was rushing to finish a story.  Plus, to many things happing to  many people you had to have a score card to know what was going on at times.  I love T Styles book but the god books are to me personally not that good. Now if you want a good series read the Fold  Or Raunchy by her they were good. What do you think? Have you read the Gods series?

It's Popular But I Couldn't

So what are you reading today? I know this book is popular The Prada Plan By Ashley Antoinette but I just couldn't get into to it not like her other books. I have tried reading this book twice and still could not get passed chapter 3 in this books. Now don't get me wrong I love drama and messy stories but this one just couldn't hold my interest. The story is about a women name Yaya and the troubles she faces  growing up with out parents in foster care. The things she went through and the guy she meets along the way. It sounds like a good story so if you have read it let me know if I should give it a third try or pass.

Hot Mess!!!

Happy June Well here's a Hot Mess for you Head Games By Mary B Morrison. And I don't mean Hot Mess in a good way . This book is all over the place . It jumped way to much the characters  were not believable . The book is about 5 guys who feel their gods gift to women and who make a bet to see how many women they can bed in one months time.  The  winner get 1 million dollars but they must show that they seduced these women and dump them in a public place.  These are grown men who are acing like over sexed teenagers. The story line could have been good but by the first couple of chapters it made no sense at all. I tried  to read this book twice and failed both times. I am sure  Mary Morrison has other good books  to read but Head Games is not one of them. If you have read the book let me know your thoughts on it.

You will be talking to yourself about who's the real crazy one is in her story. Her books have so many twists and turns it's not funny. They are a great read and if you need something different. Read one of her books trust me you will not be sorry that you did but you will be losing sleep. Fair warning. So what are you reading today

To Thin & No Interest

                                                Hello, My Book Readers and Movie Watchers.

So, I saw this book on amazon His Dirty Secret By Mia Black and the rating were pretty high. I ordered the book from my library book 1&2. I tried reading it. First off, the first book had less then 200 pages. It was so tiny you could read the story in an hour or less. The story itself as far as I got in the book was about a woman who catches her cheating boyfriend in bed with the neighbor next door. She throws him out and then moves to New York . But in her travels, she meets a handsome man who takes an interest in her. after that I had to put the book down the story was not believable to me at this point. Not saying I might have passed on a good story I am saying that it just didn't hold my interest like other books that I have read and reviewed for you. If you have read this story maybe I am missing something let me know.

Not For Me

You know some books you just love when your favorite author writes them. I like the stories that Ashley & Jaquavis write but this book Dirty Money was the not the case. I think it was their first book when they were in college. The story was ok. But to be honest it was a little  to much in what to the character Anari and her best friend Monica.  The other characters in the r attitudes and actions just didn't seem to go with the story.  The book got good reviews on amazon maybe it was just me. To many things that happen in the book that just didn't make any sense. Their books after this one were much better. If you have read this book share your thoughts if you liked or dislike it

It's review Sunday today we are reviewing the book Street Tales By Wahida Clark which is a collection of short stories by some very good authors. It's based on women who are greedy, powerful, determined and just plain old dangerous. This gives you a chance to read some different authors. That you might not know and see if you like their writing style. I love reading these short stories just for that reason.

The movie QueenPin on Tubitv is about two coupon queens who finds a way to beat the manufactures out of free coupons. They make a lot of money doing it. Until somebody gets wise to their game and hunts them down. It's a fun family type move that you will enjoy. did I mention it was free on Tubitv.

I Am Ashamed

I am so ashamed to admit that I was never interested in reading books by Eric Jerome Dickie until late last year when I read his series on Gideon which was good. If you have not read any of Eric Jerome Dickies books, I suggest you do a Thieves Paradise was a good one. I will say this he will broaden your vocabulary. I had to look up words in his book just to see what it ment. Darn good writer. His stories will capture you from start to finish. His writing will truly be missed.  So, what are you reading for 2024. Time to make that book reading list I have a few good ones I will be talking to you about soon. So, stay with me and let's read something good togetther.
