  Hello my Book Lovers and Movie Watchers. Just wanted to Say Happy Halloween. And to ask are you reading anything Scary this month? You know to get in the Halloween spirit. I have a few things I'm reading to talk about with you. The only scary thing about these books is the story and how some of them are not good at all. But we'll get into that at a later time.  For now have a happy and safe Halloween and don't forget to read something good for me.

T. Styles..

  Hello my Book Lovers and Movie Watchers. So what are we reading today? I tried reading Black and Ugly As Ever by T . Styles. I couldn't get into that series. I tried.  It was something about the story that just didn't grab me. If you have read it let me know your thoughts. Now her other books like The Fold and God were very good. This one not so much. These are just my personal opinions that I like sharing with you. The basic of a the book is about a dark skin women and the problem she's faced with because of her skin color and she self-esteem that seem to be bases on the way her friends and even family treat her because of it.

Love Harold Robbins But....

 Hello My Book Lovers and Movie Watchers. Happy October. so are you getting any spooky reading done this month? If so, you know I want to know about it right? Anyway I love me some Harold Robbins. I used to read him way back when but this book here The Storyteller by Harold Robbins started out not so good. It's about a guy named Joe who as an adult gets in to a car accident. he's taken to the hospital his hip is injured and has he's talking to the nurse he asked about how his broken hip would affect his sex life. then the story goes on to talk about the man's sexual dreams his hard on and such. Basically, it's the story of an oversexed guy that grows up into adult hood and writes spicy books like his life. I read about 10 pages of this story, and it just wasn't one of his better books. Not like the book he wrote called a Stone for Danny Fisher now that book was good. Anyway, I still love me some Harold but some of his stories not so much.

Sunday Review Time

This story was crazy and very strange  Beware!!! it does have some triggers warning and the subject matter might make you uncomfortable.  Hello, my Book lovers and Movie Watchers. Happy July. Well, here's a book His Dirty Secret by Mia Black, that I just couldn't get into, and here's why. First, the book had some editing issues. The storyline just didn't grab my attention. The basics of the book are about a woman named Jayal who becomes the side chick of a guy named Darius. Jayal's looking for her prince, and Darius turns out to be a snake. There's drama, depression, lies, and all the crazy stuff in between.  Also, the book is in 6 parts. Each book is about 129-140 pages long.  Why can't you just make one book and call it a day. I can't read books that always leave you hanging at the end, and you have to find the books to finish reading the story. This is just not me, the reader, it frustrates me too much to start hunting for the next part of a story. Especially if the story is good. That's why I mostly like to read standalones, or if a story is in two parts, because it's a long story. I can do that.

Couldn't Get Into

 Hello, my readers and movie watchers. Happy July.   So, what are you reading this month? I have a few things, but I tried to read this book, Moth to Flame by Asley Antionette, but I couldn't get into it. The basis of the story is about a shelter women named Raven and her relationship with a stick-up kid named Miazen. Ravens is a spoiled brat and goes against her father's warning to not mess with Mizan, he's bad news. Being young and dumb, thinking you know better, Raven doesn't listen. She finds herself realizing that when the honeymoon is over and things get ugly in her relationship, daddy's not around to protect her anymore.  I'm sure the story is a good one, but it just didn't hold my interest. I love her other stories. If you have read this story, tell me your thoughts love to hear them. Also seen any good movies lately? Let a Sista know..

Love Mary But...

 Hello, my Book Lovers and Movie Watchers. Is it hot enough for you today?? New York is over 110 degrees, and Sista is sweating to death. But anyway, here is the short version of the book Bad Blood by Mary Monroe. Don't get me wrong, I love her Lexington, Alabama stories. They are so good. But this one. It was ok. Not one of my better books. The story is about a man named Seth who's guided and spoiled by his family and looking to marry the perfect woman. In comes Rachel, who, overall, was a good woman in Seth's mind. After their marriage, Seth, being a family pleaser, spoiled and very selfish, things turn ugly. In this book your dealing with mental health issues, family drama, relationships, life lessons, all the basic stuff. It was o.k. reading. I've read many better books by Mary, whom I happen to love. If you've read the book, what did you think about it?

Happy June. So, what are you reading this month?? This book The Arranged by Roby Harding. Can't lie, I could not get into this story to save my life. The story is about a sugar baby, a young college student in her early 20s who dates older men for money and expensive gifts. They create an arrangement of physical needs versus money short of thing. Anyway, the story is about a young, immature woman named Natalie who's broke and needs fast money for school and life in general. She meets Gabe, who's rich, a lawyer, and in need of a sugar baby. They hook up.  Gabe spoils Natalie by giving her lots of money, taking her on expensive trips, and giving her expensive gifts.  Then Natalie gets delusional in thinking Gabe, an older man, could be her boyfriend. But Gabe is married and only wants the arrangement they started with. Basically, him paying for her time.  When Gabe drops her.  Of course, Natalie goes crazy and starts stalking him. Mind you, Gabe has a family, kids, and a good job he will go to great lengths to protect. See lifetime movie stuff.

   Anyway, I couldn't really get into this story. If you have read it, what did you think?

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. How is everybody today? So, what are you reading?  This weekend, I decided to review for you an oldie but goodie IceBerg Slim, The Story Of  My Life, Pimp. It's about a guy named young blood that comes to Chicago from Milwaukee in the late 30's or 40s. He gets a pimp mentor and is trained to become a pimp. Here are my thoughts and the review on this interesting story...

                                         Hello My Book Lovers and Movie Watchers

I need to really stop reading the Amazon reviews on books and base my book selections on what others are saying about the book. Like this one, Kingpins Of Cleveland by Brandi Johnson. I couldn't get into the book for the life of me. It's about two sisters who are totally opposite from one another. One wants to be a drug kingpin, and the other just wants to do her own thing. But she always has her sisters back.  I got into like the 5th chapter, and for some reason, it didn't grab me. So, I had to put it down. Tell me, readers, was I wrong? Have you read this book? If so, was it any good? I always say if the book can't grab you in 5-7 chapters, move it on.

To Confusing

                                    Hello, My Book Readers and Movie Watchers 

Happy April. Well, I tried, I really did. I tried to read this book,  An Ace & Walid Very Very bad Christmas. By T Styles.  First off, if you don't know their story from the beginning and I'm talking about her War Series. Then you would be completely lost as to where Ace and Walid come from. They are brothers but total opposites from each other, like night and day, even though they are close. Ace is the crazy one of the brothers.  Now her War series was good, and her Raunchy series was good too. But trying to read this one was a loss for me. Did I mention this was book 19 from the series? I will say you need to read War and continue from there because Ace and Walid are just as crazy as their whole family. Don't sleep on T styles books; she will take you there and back. But this book just didn't do it for me. If you have read the book, let me know your thoughts on it.

I Like His Stories

Happy Sunday. You know I like his stories, and this one that I'm reviewing for you today. Is just as good as the rest of his stories.  The book is called The  Streets Have No King by JaQuavis Coleman. It's based on a true story with all the action and drama you can think of. Coleman always leaves his readers with a twist at the end of his stories. This one is no different. Here's my thoughts on the book.
