Happy Holidays. What I want to tell you is about this silly movie called Thor Love And Thunder. It's A Thor movie that doesn't know if it wants to be a comedy or a serious action movie. I love my marvel movies but this one is too silly for me. I was disappointed in the story it's like they just threw this movie together just to say they made a Thor Movie. It's basically about how Thor has lost his way and he meets the members of legends from the galaxy and other people. Who try and help him get back what he has lost. Confusing and no true story line. But watch it and tell me what you think? I give this movie a 4 out of 10 rating.

How are you today? Just saw this movie Uncharted with the spiderman actor & Mark Walberg. It's like an Indiana Jones type of movie. It's pretty good. A nice family movie. I think they are making an Uncharted 2 but I am not sure. So, if you're looking for something funny and good watch this movie. I have not forgotten my book reviews it's just that. Oh no excuses because I have

been reading some good ones like The Rebound Bitch 2 by KiKi Swinson. You must read The Rebound Bitch first to get the full story. This is basically about a women scorned by her husband, and she goes around killing people. I love KiKi Swinson's books the only problem with this one is that it's a continuation which makes me not want to read the story any longer. How many times must you get books, so the story continues. That's getting pretty old to me. What do you think?

This book When No One Is Watching By Alyssa Cole is a hit with most readers but me. I must be missing something about this book I found it boring. It's about the new changes when new people come to Brooklyn and what Brooklyn use to be. It's supposed to be a thriller but yet I could not get into the part where it becomes a thriller. I might be wrong. Or Did I miss something about this book?

If you have read it let me know what your thoughts are on this book. Like I said I might have missed reading a good story.

Another Good One

 I know I am supposing to tell you about book but trust me I will I am reading a good one. That I will talk about soon. But this movie Avatar is so good. It's 2 hours or it might be 3-hour movie but it's worth it. you will be sitting on the edge of your seat. It's Sci-fi but the story is good. It's about these greedy businessman and crazy military man who wants something that this plant has. It's hard to explain just think if you liked the move Titanic you will love this.

 Hello My Readers. Not much to tell when it comes to books. Most of the books I have gotten I had to return because I could not finish them. To boring.  This movie I did see Black and Blue was very good. Will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. So what are you reading these days I might want to read it to!

Dexter Fan Here!

 Hello all well here's the book and movie for the week. First the book Borrow Trouble by Mary Monroe this is a two-part story with 2 different short stories one by Mary Monroe and one by Victor McGlothin. I only read the Mary Monroe one and that was too long.  It's about a woman in her 20's who's best friend is sneaky. and she marries the wrong man. The story was ok. I have read better by this author.

Now Dexter New Blood was good it was the ending of the series.  I have not seen dexter in a long time, but the story remains the same a serial killer who tries to be good by doing the right thing. Yes this series can get long winded but over it's it was good. Not to gory or scary.

Good Book & Crazy Movie

It's been hot in NYC so what better time is it to stay at home and read and watch good movies. The Movie Bad Santa 2 is a hot mess if you get offended easily don't watch it. It has a lot of sexy and insulting stuff in it. But overall it's funny and silly. I consider this movie a train wreck you have to keep watching. This is a movie that will make you laugh. 

The Book Treason By T Styles this is a hot mess but a good story. T styles book always make you want to stay up reading all night. The basic principle of the book is about a 18-year-old shy boy who realizes who his parents are and what he has become. The friends that he meets and the challenges he faces. If you have read the Fold by T Styles, it's along that line of story telling. It's a good story. Problem is that it's in 3 parts and if you don't get all 3 books you will be left waiting for book 3 like me. Good story will keep you reading all night.

You Say this was Good?

Well here's the deal this is just my opinion so here goes.  Don't sleep on Disney Movies Cruella  was a good movie and the dogs stole the show. You will enjoy it and it's something the family can watch. It was funny & had a good story plot to it. You can watch this free if you get it from your local library but that's between you and me.

The book Reminders of Him By Colleen Hoover was recommended by my Facebook group and this book was boring. I could not finish it. It's about a 20 something women who gets out of prison and goes back to the town that her and her lover that she killed lived in. Then the book goes on to say this woman meets her old lover's best friend and they are connected in more ways than one and so on. This book took to long and dragged on forever. I had to stop reading it after chapter 5. Was not my kind of book at all but her other book Verisity was good.

Not So Good

Again, I tried but The Arrangement By Kiersten Modglin I could not get into. It's about a couple who want to explore new things to freshen up their marriage. They want to date really just sleep with other people and not talk about it. They both agree that this would improve their marriage. This book is to long winded and explores to many emotions for me. To many things did not make the story interesting for me. If you asked me, it was boring, and I only read until chapter 10 and I had to give it back.

Happy 4th I know it's early. So, what are you reading today? I watched Hotel Transylvania yes, it's a kid's movie (I love them to) I am hooked on this movie it was cute and funny. It makes a great family night movie. It's about the relationship of a father and daughter. The father runs a hotel for monsters and their family. I liked itt and you will to. Sometimes you need something mindless and funny to take your mind off the craziness of the world.

The Secrets Of the South by B.M. Hardin I don't know how many times I tried to read this book. I cannot it's just not that good to me. Have you read it?

If your a Mary Morrison fan please let me know about one of her better books. Because this book Darius Jones to me was not that good. It was going in to many places with to many character that did not make a whole lot of since to me. I picked it because I like crazy people stories but this one was not that good.

It's about a famous basketball player who is a womanizer and married. He has a 4 year old son with a women who also slept with his best friends. He goes around breaking women's hearts and still tells people how much he loves his wife. While cheating on her behind her back. He has a crazy baby ma and a stalker who he has sleep with and he has no idea that she's obsessed with him. His mother is a whole nother story. She has dram to it's was not the book for me. 

                                        Had to keep this book moving right back to the library

Happy June I Can't

Hello My Readers.

Happy June 1 So what are you reading today? I am trying to read The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. This book was recommended in one of my facebook groups.  Reading this is like pulling teeth. It's not that interesting and I am only on chapter 4. It's about a artist who kills her photography husband for no rhyme or reason.  She then goes silent and this one  doctor who has problems of his own thinks he can get her to talk.  People love this story . Now I have read other stories like Baby Teeth and The Perfect Child these were good books they grabbed your attention in the first chapter and never let it go. This book the Silent Patient not so much.

                                

                        As far as movies I have not seen anything good have you?

Movie & Book Weekend

 Hello My Book Lovers. I don't know if I told you this. But this Book All Her Little Secrets by Wanda Morris was recommended in my Facebook book group. I got excited. Ordered the book started reading it and then put it down. It was not for me.😶 It's about a corporate lawyer and how's she the only African American lawyer in the company and her lover which is her boss is killed. To me personally the story goes back and forth from her childhood to the present.  If you have read it let me know your thoughts. I could not get pass chapter 5. 

Now for some laughs get Resident Alien this is a funny series it's about an outer space Alien who comes to a small town looking like the towns doctor. It's funny. I could only get season 1 from the library. I am to cheap to get the cable network that it's on. So  if you have watched this series or the book I talked about let me know your thoughts.

Crazy Movie

Happy Thursday. I know I normally talk to you about books but this movie right here Animal Kingdom the American Version is a hot mess. Yes, the original was an Australia version. The story is about a mother and her 4 sons and a grandson. They steal stuff and they are a hot mess. The mother is very cool and calculating. The mother is no joke.   The sons have their own individual personal issues. But they do what their mother says because she controls them. This is a good series at first, it's slow but then you get invested in these characters and you will see the hot mess they really are. I go the series free from the library. Beware there is about 6 seasons. I am only on season & but it's good.  So, what are you reading or watching?

I tried I tried but some book you just cannot read, and this is one of them Pitbull's in Skirts By Mikal Malone. This book is about 4 women who live in Emerald City a D.C. Housing Project. They love their men who run a crew of drug dealers. These women guard the gates to emerald city for their drug men. They have little to no self-esteem. Their lives revolve around these men and their broken promises. It was just too much to read. In that these young women only cared about been seen in the latest ghetto fashions, making their men happy and getting married. Along with having a couple of babies by them. It was too sad to read. I had to return this book to the library.

So, what are you reading today? I have read so many good reviews about this book Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead. But when I went to read it, I could not. The reason is that the story was not consistent. Meaning that I would be reading about one thing and something else would pop up in the same paragraph. I had to do a lot of what? I have One Of These

Do you have one a book that you read but put it down when the books you ordered comes in. This is the book for me The Thomas Berryman Number by Patterson. I will say the book is ok. Kinda all over the place with the story. This must be one of Patterson's first books that he wrote. I am sticking to the book because I want to see how it ends. It's about a hired hit man and the person he is paid to take out.  The story talks about the people the hitman's love, friends and why he likes being paid to kill.  Thank God I own the book and I can read it when I want to. So do you have a book like that. One that you put down to read something else and then come back to it when you have nothing to read?
